Combine that with our military service backgrounds, academic preparation and degrees, and the result is something more than muscle bound, cigar smoking, retired officers. You can count on this team providing smart, competent, technique with clear, concise, and strong reports and follow-up.

Although the licensed corporation is young, it simply formalized a long-standing reputation for computer/information security that goes back to 1983 when PC's were just introduced and the web was nothing more than scientific gopher trails through university and research networks. But we've grown with the technology, changes in society, and demands of investigation.

About Lance Orndorff, the owner and primary investigator

Originally a native of Pittsburgh, raised in Virginia Beach, VA, and after serving in the US Navy out of high school and 18 years attending ODU in Norfolk, including Graduate studies and university administration employment in all major areas of the campus, his technology skills brought Lance to Northern VA to work on the emerging Web. By 1999, he had joined an information security firm and his investigative skills developed as an information security surveillance products development manager and then on to analyst and program manager.

Over the last decade, Lance's work has revolved around electronic communications, Internet and network programming, communications, and other business consulting practices. That has included five additional years within the University system contracting for Lehigh University, more than a decade with a regional dental insurance company as their senior technologist and security and regulations compliance officer, and technology advisor to dozens of organizations.  Lance knows his way around technology, whether dissecting it as part of an investigation or putting it back together when it’s broke! And interpreting regulations is high on his skills set list.

And if you need an opinion, research, or testimony related to or assistance with computer technology, Voice over IP, information security, Internet architecture, limitations, or advances, or student cognitive behaviors, university practices, and the broad court supported reach of educational institutions (part of his Masters and Doctoral work), Lance is there for that as well.
